Scott began his journey at Aldridge & Brownlee in 2006 and completed his training contract at the highly regarded Central London practice, Punatars & Co. During his time there, he gained invaluable experience, including acting as a duty solicitor during the London riots—a role that demanded exceptional skill and composure under pressure. Before joining Murrays Solicitors, Scott worked as a self-employed police station representative, honing his ability to provide swift and effective legal support. For the past decade, he has been an integral part of the Murrays Solicitors team, where his dedication and expertise continue to make a difference for clients facing criminal charges. With his wealth of experience and client-focused approach, Scott is committed to protecting the rights of those he represents and achieving the best possible outcomes in every case.

Elisha Wilkinson

Solicitor / Director

Elisha is an accomplished solicitor with over twenty-years of experience working in the field of criminal law, including police station representation and criminal defence at Magistrates' Courts and Crown Court. Elisha's extensive legal experience has led her to successfully represent clients in cases including murder, infanticide, kidnap, rape, terrorism, conspiracy to import class A drugs, arson with intent to endanger life, and dangerous dog offences amongst many others. With a passion and flair for criminal defence, Elisha specialises solely in this area of law and has a proven track record in advocating successfully for her clients and the right to a fair trial. Elisha is highly empathetic and works with some of the most vulnerable clients, including those with mental health conditions, and has completed specialist training to work with young and vulnerable witnesses. Elisha will take on highly complex of cases and can often see the viability of running a defence in cases where other solicitors and legal firms would fail to do so. For example, she has run defences of self-defence and non-insane automatism with great success. Elisha thrives when conducting her own trial and her eye for detail and meticulous preparation when taking cases to court has resulted in acquittals for many of her clients.

Leanne Lees

Solicitor

Leanne has over 15 years of experience working within the justice system. Before joining Murray’s as a solicitor, she held the position of Justices’ Legal Adviser in the Magistrates’ Court, where she gained invaluable experience in criminal law, practice, and procedure. In this role, Leanne provided expert advice to magistrates, giving her a unique insight into the justice system and the intricacies of sentencing in the magistrates' courts. Leanne’s work also extended to helping young people in Bradford, where she served as a Magistrates’ Mock Court Trial Bradford Ambassador. This allowed her to engage with the community and foster a deeper understanding of the justice process among youth. With a particular interest in Road Traffic law, Leanne has spent several years advising in Bradford's Road Traffic courts. She brings her expertise in this area, combined with a personable and down-to-earth approach, to provide clear and practical legal advice. Additionally, Leanne has extensive experience in the family court, offering legal guidance to magistrates in family matters. She was also one of the first Tribunal Caseworkers appointed to exercise delegated judicial powers and later took on the role of registrar. Leanne takes immense pride in her career, firmly believing in the crucial role of a criminal defence solicitor. For her, this role is fundamental in protecting individuals' rights and ensuring that our justice system remains fair and just for all.
